QBX File

Category: Backup Files

What is a QBX file?

This file is a file developed by Intuit Inc and is associated with the QuickBooks Company. It is described as an accountant transfer file. It helps in preparation of financial records and taxation documents using the QuickBooks software. It is ideal for small businesses who need to organize financial data as well as all transactions coming and going out of the business. It is good to note that you cannot edit QBX files. You are only allowed to add some basic journal notes. When sharing it between users, it has to be converted to either a QBA (regular accountant’s copy file) or QBW file (company file). Additionally, you are only allowed to open a QBX file or convert them to the current format or year before. When you want to create a new QBX file, head over to ‘account Review’ on the file menu and select ‘create accountant’s copy) and save it.
