What is a MPD file?
Developed by Microsoft, its Project, a project managing software, uses the MPD (Microsoft Project Database) extension. The format stores data as per the Access-compliant guidelines. It belongs to the database file category and supports binary data. Microsoft doesn’t allow Project 2007 or further to save files in MPD extension, but you can still access the existing ones with the updated software.
