What is a XLSB file?
Developed by Microsoft, an XLSB file is the Excel spreadsheet workbook file.
When we say the workbook, it means that it contains many different worksheets, and each sheet has cells arranged in rows and columns or even colorful charts for your presentation. Well, these files are saved in binary format, and since they have a larger binary format, they work efficiently and can be quickly made. These files will take less time to load and save. XLSB files are different from XLSX files as the .xlsx files are of XML format, and you can compress them to the zip archive. However, XLSB files can’t be compressed in zip neither do they have XML format. These files can be opened and edited in any version of excel, even having the Open XML support. Converting the .xlsx files to .xlsb files of the binary format will reduce the size of the document too.
